LMi.net Network StatusThursday, May 15, 2008 4pm One of the air conditioning units in our server room has failed. There are 2 others still working, but having to strain under our current heat wave. The air temperature in the server room is higher than normal because of this. We anticipate that this A/C unit will be repaired when parts arrive on Tuesday (5/20). In the meantime, we are having 2 portable A/C units delivered tomorrow morning, which should help bring the room temperature back down.
Phishing Alert! Many of our customers have been getting emails that are supposedly from LMi, asking for personal information, such as passwords. These emails do not come from LMi. DO NOT respond to them! You can often spot the bogus emails by: -Email asks for your login name and/or password. -Return address of email is not an lmi.net address. -Poor spelling and grammar. LMi.net will never ask for your personal information via email. Outgoing Traffic from DSL/Dialup to port 25 (SMTP) We are in the process of disabling access outside the LMi network to port 25 (the outgoing mail/SMTP port), from our residential DSL and dialup customers. If you are a residential DSL or dialup customer and you run your own mail server, email service@lmi.net to opt out of this port blocking. For troubleshooting networking issues, use our network diagnostic tools (for LMi customers) or here's a traceroute page for testing connectivity.
